How it works

How does engine bay detailing work?

Engine bay detailing works by safely loosening and removing the oil, dust, and road grime that build up under the hood. The engine should be cool before work starts, and sensitive parts such as exposed electrical connections and the air intake are covered or avoided.

A degreaser is applied to break down built-up grime, worked in with brushes to reach around hoses and brackets, and rinsed with low pressure instead of a strong blast of water. Plastic and rubber surfaces are then dried and can be finished with an engine dressing, which gives them a clean, even look instead of a faded one. A clean engine bay makes leaks and worn parts easier to spot and helps a car show better when it is time to sell. A to D offers engine detailing on its own or as an add-on to a full detail.
